OTTAWA (CIS) - The City of Edmonton and the University of Alberta will know around 2 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday if they will host the 28th Summer Universiade in 2015.
The International University Sport Federation (FISU) will announce the host cities for the 2015 Summer and Winter Universiades on May 23 in Brussels, Belgium.
Edmonton is competing for the Summer Games against Gwangju, Korea and Taipei City, Chinese Taipei. Edmonton hosted the Summer Universiade in 1983, the only time the University Games were held in Canada.
The schedule for Saturday is as follows (All times local: 6 hours ahead of EST):
2:00 pm Summer Universiade Presentation Candidate #1 *
3:45 pm Summer Universiade Presentation Candidate #2 *
5:30 pm Summer Universiade Presentation Candidate #3 *
7:15 pm FISU Deliberation & Voting
8:00 pm Official Announcement Ceremony
* There will be a draw on Friday to determine the order of presentation.

Time allotment: 90 minutes
20 minutes: Report from FISU Site Evaluation Group (Canadian Delegation not in room)
10 minutes: Entrance of Canadian Delegation & Introductions
40 minutes: Technical presentation and video
5 minutes: Presentation of FISU Plate to Bidding City Chair
15 minutes: FISU deliberation
