THE UNIVERSITY CUP / LA COUPE UNIVERSITAIRE

The University Cup is awarded annually to the CIS Men’s Hockey Champions. The trophy was presented by Queen's University of Kingston and the Royal Military College of Canada - participants in the first organized interuniversity hockey game played in Kingston in 1885 in recognition of the contribution made to the game of hockey by outstanding university players.
La Coupe Université est décernée annuellement à l'équipe championne de SIC en hockey sur glace. Ce trophée fut présenté conjointement par l'Université Queen's et le Collège Militaire Royal du Canada, qui participaient à Kingston en 1885 au premier Championnat national de hockey universitaire. Ce trophée fut offert à l'époque pour souligner l'importante contribution faite au hockey canadien par certains étudiants-athlètes universitaires de grand talent.
